Power of A Personal Uniform

In the last few days, we covered what a uniform is, the benefits of wearing one, and
how to create it. We were preparing for today’s challenge: Create a personal uniform.

I challenge you to create a personal uniform and wear it for at least a month. You don’t need to create only one. Create a few depending on the occasion.

For a start, you can have a home uniform to wear only at home. On winter days I use a dark gray sweater and black or navy-blue sweatpants. In the summer, I use black shorts and a white, black, or navy-blue T-shirt.

The second uniform can be for work (and you can have several combinations of the uniform – but don’t deviate from it). I use chinos, a white or baby blue shirt, and a blazer. 

Then one for a workout. I use black shorts and a black T-shirt.

Another one for a night out, for weddings and funerals, etc.

You get the point. 

The purpose of this challenge is to show you that benefits of having a personal uniform far outweigh the disadvantages. Everyone can try it for at least 30 days, and if you don’t like it, don’t continue with it. But as time goes on, chances are you will like the simplicity and benefits of wearing one.

Focus on simple pieces that fit your body, style, are comfortable and versatile.
