Walking Without Destination

Most times we walk to get somewhere – to arrive at a destination. We also walk to become healthier, skinnier, to reduce stress levels or become inspired, but when we try to make something productive, in this case walking, we usually miss the whole point.

What if you go today, or tomorrow or this weekend on a walk without a destination. Schedule some time so you are not rushed and you can just walk and have time for yourself. Walking can be your therapy.

You can actually have an extraordinary experience just by putting one foot in front of the other. 

Slow down, look around and capture your surroundings; up, down, and all around. Notice the changes in seasons, weather, smells, and sounds around you. Walk your regular walking route or better yet go somewhere new. Just walk without an end point in mind.

Let your mind wander, notice what happens inside and outside you when you walk without a destination point. 

For this challenge, it doesn’t matter if you walk fast or slow. If you wear sneakers or flip-flops or no shoes at all. If you walk on the road, in the woods, or on the beach. If you walk alone or with someone else. This walk has no rules, no specific distance, and no pressure. It’s not competition. This walk is only for you.

You need nothing to walk, you spend nothing, you consume nothing, you emit nothing, yet you have everything.
